Buy fresh - buy local! Local, fresh foods. WIC & Sr. nutrition farm market program tokens accepted. Contact Market Manager: Staci Curry at 466-3787 Some of the items you'll find this week at the market: various winter squash, potatoes, onions, green peppers, apples, pears, eggs, chili peppers, cheeses, garlic, pumpkin seeds, tomatoes, pumpkins, various granolas, celery, jams and jellies, honey, mums, goat milk soap.
After a wonderful
harvest, we now have reached the end of the season for the Angelica Farmers'
Market. This coming Saturday, October 13th, will be the last market of the 2007
season. Come stock up on fresh, local produce! Be prepared to come with galoshes
and raincoat if need be! Many of the fall harvest items like winter squash,
onions, garlic, potatoes, honey, apples, and beets store well into the winter.
Store them in root cellar-type conditions, cool and moist. If you would like a
larger amount of something from the market, you can let Staci Curry know in
advance and she will connect you with a vendor who can have it ready for you.
